The Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services (NRBHSS), incorporated under the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement
(section 15) as well as the Act respecting health services and social services, covers the entire territory located north of the 55th parallel.
Its mission is to adapt health and social services programs to the population’s needs and the region’s realities and to ensure efficient
organization of the resources made available to the Nunavik region.

DESCRIPTION
Under the hierarchical authority of the Director of Human Resources, the Administrative Officer (Intern)
supports the HR team in its day-to-day operations, with a focus on services offered to Inuit employees.
This internship aims to hire a local Inuk intern who will actively promote HR initiatives, act as a liaison between
HR and local employees, and help ensure our practices are culturally relevant and accessible to Inuit staff. This
internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in human resources while contributing
directly to services adapted to Inuit communities.
Your responsibilities also include:
• Maintain and ensure the accuracy of personnel files for Inuit employees and their dependents;
• Ensure consistent administrative follow-ups and communication with Inuit employees (data collection,
validation, and outreach);
• Support the planning and coordination of recruitment campaigns in Nunavik schools;
• Contribute actively to initiatives that promote the engagement and mobilization of Inuit employees
(onboarding, integration, exit interviews, special HR projects);
• Contribute to the analysis and continuous improvement of support measures offered to Inuit employees
upon hiring;
• Participate in various committees to support cultural safe practises and decision-making;
• Perform other related administrative tasks as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
• Kuujjuaq resident, current student returning to school in the fall;
• Interest in human resources and a willingness to learn;
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail;
• Sense of discretion and respect for confidentiality;
• Comfortable working with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook);
• Working knowledge of Inuktitut, English and/or French (bilingualism is an asset);
• Availability to travel within Nunavik or in the South for short business trips.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• Please note that interviews will potentially be conducted during the week of May 25, 2026;
• Home base: Assignment based in Kuujjuaq. This internship is intended for local candidates already residing
in Kuujjuaq. The position is on-site only.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Status: Temporary Full-Time — for the duration of the summer school break - approximately 10 weeks
• Work shift: Daytime, Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week;
• Salary in accordance with MSSS conditions: $25.61/h.
