Administrative Secretary
Under the supervision of the Municipal Manager, the Secretary is responsible for providing a high
level of secretarial and clerical services to the Municipal Manager and Assistant Municipal
Manager's Departments.
Responsibilities
- The Secretary has the following responsibilities:
- Provide office supports within the administration of the NV such as: Council's minutes,
writing letters, e-mails, and various documents, making photocopies; distributing internal
documents; taking messages for council members and management;
- Keep informed of the Municipal Manager and Assistant Municipal Manager's agendas and at
their request, handle the Municipal Manager and Assistant Municipal Managers appointment agendas;
- Set up a filling system and ensure the proper filing of documents and control of internal documents;
- Keep the inventory of office supplies up to date;
- Share any excess workload with the receptionist;
- Make travel arrangements for management; make the necessary arrangements for
interviews or meetings; take the minutes of meetings other than council meetings;
- Cooperate closely with the Municipal Manager and other office employees;
- Perform any related work as requested by your supervisor.
Requirements
- Knowledge in office administration;
- Knowledge in computer;
- Ability to meet deadlines and to communicate effectively and teamwork;
- The incumbent is expected to be honest and trustworthy and demonstrate sound work ethics.
- The successful candidate will be offered a specific training.
Salary: Salary based on experience and salary scale
Candidates chosen as full time employees are eligible to a Northern Allowance of $5,000 or $3,000,
participate in an employee pension plan and Group Insurance plan, participate in a travel benefit
plan after 12 months of service.
Probation period up to six (6) months
