The Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services (NRBHSS), incorporated under the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement
(section 15) as well as the Act respecting health services and social services, covers the entire territory located north of the 55th parallel.
Its mission is to adapt health and social services programs to the population’s needs and the region’s realities and to ensure efficient
organization of the resources made available to the Nunavik region.
The regional board seeks to fill the following temporary assignment:

MANAGEMENT AND DEPARTMENT: ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES, # 10006-FINANCE & PAYROLL
DESCRIPTION
Under the supervision of the Administrative Services Coordinator, you will play a key role in providing administrative and
accounting support for operations. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will contribute to the effective
management of financial resources and the quality of services delivered.
Your responsibilities also include:
• Perform routine accounting tasks, such as invoice entry, verification of supporting documents, and matching purchase orders;
• Monitor accounts payable and payments, ensuring compliance with financial policies and deadlines;
• Participate in account reconciliation and assist in preparing periodic financial reports;
• Collaborate in the budget management of administrative projects by tracking expenses and producing simple analyses;
• Provide quality customer service to internal departments and deliver attentive, proactive administrative support;
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of administrative and accounting processes, ensuring compliance with standards and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
• Must hold a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in general administration, accounting and management
techniques, office automation techniques or another appropriate college discipline from a school recognized by
the appropriate ministry, or a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) combined with a relevant undergraduate
university certificate, or a relevant Attestation of Collegial Studies (AEC) of eight hundred hours or more
combined with experience relevant to the field concerned. This assignment is also open to candidates holding a
college certificate in Administrative Techniques;
• One year of experience in billing, accounting, or administrative support;
• For candidates who are beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement, a combination of relevant experience and education may be considered;
• Excellent organizational skills and rigorous execution of tasks;
• Demonstrate resourcefulness and initiative;
• Demonstrate teamwork and customer-oriented skills;
• Proficiency in office automation tools (Office suite);
• Proficiency in at least two of the three languages used in the region: Inuktitut, English or French;
• Experience working in the Nunavik region will be considered an important asset;
• Good understanding of the socio-cultural context of Nunavik and Inuit culture (an asset).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• Please note that interviews will take place during the month at the week of August 10, 2026;
• Work location: Assignation based in the North (Kuujjuaq).
Candidates who are beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement shall receive priority.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• A temporary, full-time assignment for a period of 2 years (35 hours per week) with the possibility of permanent employment;
• Day shift;
• Salary according to MSSS salary scales and the candidate's qualifications ($27.75/h to $37.04/h).
