Kativik Ilisarniliriniq (KI) is a school board offering educational services in the 14 communities of Nunavik.
Under the supervision of the Director of School Operations, the Administration Technician performs various tasks related to the administration of the teachers’ and managers’ files. Some responsibilities include:
FUNCTION & DUTIES:

Conducting audit for the school board and the government (MEES);
·
Maintaining up to date calendar days for every school;
·
Administrating all school related electronic files;
·
Monitoring and work on report cards;
·
Administrating the reception and validation of staffing as per school
organization;
·
Evaluating the request for tutoring services and updating the files and
payments;
·
Informing Payroll of any changes in an employee file;
·
Administer the payment of all types of invoices.
·
Maintaining and updating a variety of employee lists including the list
of teachers per school and support staff;
·
Answering any questions concerning the school organizations, tutoring,
and elder payments;
· Performing any other related tasks as requested by immediate supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
College diploma (DEC) in administration or a diploma or attestation of studies which is recognized as equivalent by the Board.
The Board may, at its discretion, waive any or all of the afore-mentioned qualifications if it finds a suitable candidate who is a beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement (JBNQA) and who accepts, as a condition of employment, to follow a training plan determined by the Board.
REQUIREMENTS:
§ Thorough understanding of GPI and GRICS system;
§ Understanding of MS Access;
§ Fluency in at least two of the working languages
of the Board (Inuktitut, French, English);
§ Excellent knowledge of MS Outlook, Word and
Excel;
§ Independent, strong organizational skills,
attention to detail and discretion;
§ Knowledge of Nunavik and Inuit culture (asset).
WORK SCHEDULE: 35 hours / week from Monday to Friday.
CLASSIFICATION / SALARY / BENEFITS:
In accordance with the AENQ collective agreement for support staff, this position belongs to job category 4211: from $24.21 to $32.32 an hour depending on qualification and experience. All benefits are prorated based on the percentage of the task.
