The Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services (NRBHSS), incorporated under the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement (section 15) as well as the Act respecting health services and social services, covers the entire territory located north of the 55th parallel. Its mission is to adapt health and social services programs to the population’s needs and the region’s realities and to ensure efficient organization of the resources made available to the Nunavik region.

The regional board seeks to fill the following permanent position:

Administrative Technician Logistics Posting 2025-026 

MANAGEMENT AND DEPARTMENT: 

ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES, # 10001, ADMINISTRATION SERV

DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of the assistant to the director of administrative services, the administrative technician provides essential support in the management and smooth running of administrative operations in the Logistics Department, under the direction of administrative services. He/she performs a variety of tasks related to information gathering and processing, material resource management, logistics and customer service.

Your responsibilities also include to:

• Draft and format various official documents (memos, letters, resolutions, etc.);

• Plan and organize meetings: prepare agendas, take notes, draft minutes and follow up on them;

• Manage the platform (Transportation Management System) used, among other things, to book air tickets or rooms in hotels or in transit;

• Logistics of goods and services, including transportation to Kuujjuaq, accommodation management, housekeeping schedule;

• Maintain inventory of equipment for transits and keys to building stock. See to the installation/uninstallation of utilities in transits;

• Collaborate with external partners;

• Support management and provide internal customer service;

• Replace team members on vacation;

• Help organize material resources and monitor supply needs;

• Support operations and quality management by optimizing administrative processes.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must hold a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in general administration, accounting and management techniques, office automation techniques or another appropriate college discipline from a school recognized by the appropriate ministry, or a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) combined with a relevant undergraduate university certificate, or a relevant Attestation of Collegial Studies (AEC) of eight hundred hours or more combined with experience relevant to the field concerned. This job also includes people with a college certificate in administrative techniques;

• At least two (2) years' experience in logistics or administrative support;

• For candidates who are beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement, a combination of relevant experience and education may be considered;

• Knowledge of Transportation Management System (TMS) software is an asset;

• Excellent organizational skills and rigorous execution of tasks;

• Demonstrate resourcefulness and initiative;

• Ability to manage stress and work effectively under pressure;

• Proficiency in office automation tools (Office suite);

• Demonstrate teamwork and customer focus skills;

• Must hold a valid driver's license;

• Experience working in the Nunavik region will be considered an important asset;

• Good understanding of the socio-cultural context of Nunavik and Inuit culture (an asset);

• Proficiency in at least two of the three languages used in the region: inuktitut, english or french.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Please note that interviews will potentially be conducted during the week of November 17, 2025;

• Assignment/Position primarily based in the North (Kuujjuaq.). Residence in the North is prioritized; however, teleworking from the South is possible depending on operational needs. Please note that travel to the North may be required depending on training activities.

Candidates who are beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement shall receive priority.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Permanent full-time position (35 h/week);

• Day shift;

• Salary according to the conditions of the MSSS and the qualifications of the candidate ($27.07/h to $36.14/h).
