The Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services (NRBHSS), incorporated under the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement
(section 15) as well as the Act respecting health services and social services, covers the entire territory located north of the 55th parallel.
Its mission is to adapt health and social services programs to the population’s needs and the region’s realities and to ensure efficient
organization of the resources made available to the Nunavik region.
The regional board seeks to fill the following permanent position:

MANAGEMENT AND DEPARTMENT:
ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES, # 10006, FINANCE & PAYROLL
DESCRIPTION
Under the supervision of the Finances Coordinator, the administrative technician is responsible for the complete
administration of the payroll cycle and the processing of the Health Board personnel expense accounts in
accordance with established standards and practices. The technician also provides support to the team in various
accounting-related tasks.
In addition to their technical responsibilities, they provide customer service to employees by answering their
questions about payroll and helping them understand their files.
Your responsibilities also include to:
• Preparing, verifying, and processing timesheets, payroll data, and necessary adjustments;
• Ensuring payroll compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and collective agreements;
• Collaborating with human resources and managers to ensure compliance with each payroll cycle;
• Responding to employee questions regarding payroll, deductions, tax slips, etc.;
• Participating in the production of annual tax slips (T4, Schedule 1);
• Maintain payroll records and produce administrative reports as required;
• Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to ensure the accuracy of payroll entries.
REQUIREMENTS
• Must have a college diploma (DEC) in general administration, in accounting and management techniques,
office automation techniques, or another appropriate college discipline from a school recognized by the
relevant ministry, or a college diploma (DEC) combined with a relevant undergraduate university certificate
or a relevant college attestation of college studies (AEC) of 800 hours or more combined with relevant
experience in the field;
• For candidates who are beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement, a combination of
relevant experience and education may be considered;
• Experience in payroll processing, ideally in the public or parapublic sector, will be considered an asset;
• Knowledge of the Logibec payroll/HR system or any other payroll system is a major asset;
• Northern experience is an asset;
• Good oral and written communication skills in French and English. Knowledge of Inuktitut is an asset;
• Proficiency in IT tools, particularly Excel and payroll software;
• Rigorous, independent, and organized;
• Discretion and respect for confidentiality;
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
• Interpersonal skills.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• Please note that interviews will potentially be conducted during the week of September 8, 2025.
• Home base: Position based in the North in Kuujjuaq.
Candidates who are beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement shall receive priority.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Permanent full-time position (35 hours/week);
• Day shift;
• Salary according to MSSS conditions and candidate qualifications ($27.07/hour to $36.14/hour).
