The Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services (NRBHSS), incorporated under the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement (section 15) as well as the Act respecting health services and social services, covers the entire territory located north of the 55th parallel. Its mission is to adapt health and social services programs to the population’s needs and the region’s realities and to ensure efficient organization of the resources made available to the Nunavik region.
The regional board seeks to fill the following temporary assignment:

MANAGEMENT AND DEPARTMENT: PLANNING AND PROGRAMMING, # 41003-SUBS USE DEP TRAD WB, PLANNING AND PROGRAMMING SUBSTANCE USE, ADDICTION AND TRADITIONAL WELL-BEING
DESCRIPTION
Under the authority of the coordinators within the Planning and Programming Directorate the administrative technician will support the planning and organization of events for the substance use, addiction, and traditional wellness teams as well as the Child-Youth- Family (CYF) teams. This includes events for the Addiction/Nunami team (trainings, on-land activities) and CYF, as well as initiatives related to violence prevention and youth tables.
Key Responsibilities:
Event and Training Organization & Logistics
• Reserve and manage rooms, vehicles, room blocks, charters, and transfers for consultants, staff, and external partners;
• Book and track flights for consultants, participants, and community partners;
• Organize and manage meals (purchases, preparation, bannock, etc.);
• Manage registrations, send invitations, and track attendance;
• Monitor event budgets: process payments for contractors (guides, cooks, etc.), invoices, and expense reports;
• Manage printing requests and shipping via cargo;
• Provide on-site or remote logistical support during events (trainings, Ungammuatuq, My Choices, RACYS, Youth Table, family house gatherings, Violence steering committee etc.);
• Maintain and update the regional events list.
Documentation and Communications
• Draft, format, and send letters, contracts, minutes, and reports;
• Track translation requests;
• Prepare, manage, and send purchase orders (POs) and check requests;
• Prepare supporting documents for meetings and trainings;
• Track official communications with partners and communities.
Information Management and Internal Tools
• Update team calendars and employee/partner lists;
• Manage and update the training database;
• Maintain a reference document for Nunavik (contacts, resources).
Cross-functional Support
• Provide administrative support to facilitate coordination between SUAT and CYF teams;
• Contribute to improving the tracking structure for projects and events;
• Proactively participate in the preparation and follow-up of priority activities (in-person trainings, regional tables, thematic meetings).
REQUIREMENTS
• Must hold a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DCS) in general administration, accounting and management techniques, office automation, or another appropriate college discipline accounting and management, office automation or another appropriate college discipline from a school recognized by the appropriate ministry, or a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DCS) combined with a relevant undergraduate university certificate or an Attestation of Collegial Studies (AEC) of eight hundred hours or more combined with experience or a Certificate of Collegial Studies (CCS) in administrative techniques;
• For candidates who are beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement, a combination of relevant experience and education may be considered;
• Excellent command of spoken and written French; knowledge of English is an asset;
• Bilingualism required in two (2) of the three (3) languages used in Nunavik (English, Inuktitut, French);
• Rigor, organizational skills, and autonomy;
• Discretion and respect for confidentiality;
• Ability to manage priorities;
• Good analytical skills and attention to detail;
• Ability to work in a team;
• Interpersonal communication skills;
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• Please note that interviews will potentially be conducted during the week of November 3, 2025;
• Home base: Assignment primarily based in the North (Kuujjuaq). Residence in the North is prioritized; however, teleworking from the South is possible depending on operational needs. Please note that travel to the North may be required depending on departmental activities.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Permanent full-time assignment (35hr/week);
• Day shift;
• Salary according to the conditions of the MSSS and the qualifications of the candidate ($27.07/h to $36.14/h).

For those hired more than 50 km from Kuujjuaq, low-cost housing is offered, along with reimbursement of moving and storage costs.
