The Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services (NRBHSS), incorporated under the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement
(section 15) as well as the Act respecting health services and social services, covers the entire territory located north of the 55th parallel.
Its mission is to adapt health and social services programs to the population’s needs and the region’s realities and to ensure efficient
organization of the resources made available to the Nunavik region.
The Regional Board wishes to fill the following permanent position:

DEPARTMENT AND SERVICE: PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENT, SERVICE # 40002 PUBLIC HEALTH OPER
DESCRIPTION
Under the authority of the Assistant Director of Public Health and in collaboration with the prevention and health
promotion coordinators, the incumbent supports the team in all administrative and clerical functions in order to support
the progress of various projects and initiatives.
Your responsibilities include:
• Handle the logistics of events and travel in Nunavik and in the South (flights, accommodation, meeting rooms, meals,
vehicle rentals, etc.);
• For large-scale events, collaborate with the responsible administrative officer and the public health operations team to
ensure administrative and logistical fluidity;
• Forward and track documents requiring translation with the Board’s internal translation service (Inuktitut, English,
French);
• Review, correct, and verify the accuracy, formatting, and compliance of letters, contracts, and other documents;
• Collaborate with the Administrative Services Department to process purchase requests, purchase orders, and invoices;
• Follow up on signatures with the coordination team and management;
• Support the team in managing expense claims;
• Replace, as needed, the other administrative technicians of the public health team;
• Participate in the development and application of the service’s administrative policies and procedures, in collaboration
with the other technicians;
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to problem solving;
• Perform any other related task at the request of the immediate supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
• For candidates who are beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement, a combination of relevant
experience and training may be considered;
• Must hold a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DCS) in general administration, accounting and management techniques,
office systems technology, or another appropriate college discipline from an institution recognized by the relevant
ministry; or a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DCS) combined with a relevant undergraduate university certificate or a
relevant Attestation of Collegial Studies (ACS) of eight hundred hours or more combined with experience relevant to
the field concerned;
• At least two (2) years of relevant experience in administrative functions;
• Excellent command of at least two of the three languages used in Nunavik (French, English, Inuktitut);
• Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
SKILLS AND DESIRED PROFILE
• Demonstrated ability to carry out duties from a perspective of cultural safety;
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;
• Strong skills in teamwork, priority management, and customer service;
• Excellent organizational skills and rigor in carrying out tasks;
• Demonstrate resourcefulness and initiative;
• Work experience in Nunavik, in an Indigenous environment, or in a remote region is considered a significant asset;
• Good understanding of the sociocultural context of Nunavik and of Inuit culture (an asset).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• Home base: Position based in the North (Kuujjuaq);
• Please note that interviews will potentially be conducted during the week of September 7 or September 14, 2026.
Candidates who are beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement shall receive priority.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Permanent full-time position (35 hours/week);
• Day shift;
• Salary according to MSSS conditions and the candidate’s qualifications ($27.75/h to $37.04/h).
