The normal work schedule is on a rotation of 4 weeks: 2 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a
week) followed by 2 weeks of rest.

RESPONSABILITIES
Reporting to the Safety and Emergency Measures Supervisor, the Apprentice Fire/Safety Technician's main responsibilities include:
▪ Carry out necessary inspections of Expo site fire safety equipment and systems, as well as Safety and Emergency Measures
and Fire Brigade vehicles.
▪ Support Safety and Emergency Measures dispatchers and supervisors in the performance of their daily duties
▪ Ensure the maintenance and proper operation of fire extinguishers
▪ Provide employee training
▪ Conduct road patrols;
▪ Ensure compliance with camp rules and regulations
▪ Represent the employer within the scope of its responsibilities
▪ Perform any other related duties assigned by the Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
▪ High school diploma (DES); Firefighter 1 or Fire Alarm Technician (ACAI/CFAA) or any experience deemed relevant to the
position may be considered (Asset).
▪ Valid general explosives permit;
▪ Relevant work experience;
▪ Excellent oral and written communication skills
▪ Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
▪ Possession of a valid Class 4A driver's license
▪ Ability to communicate orally and in writing in at least two of the following languages: Inuktitut, English or French (trilingualism
will be considered an asset).
