Job Purpose : 

POSITION : CAREGIVER (Full-time, Inukjuak) 

Work with elders, help them with their needs, prepare meals, accompany them when they go 

out, be supportive, report any unusual incidents and enjoy their presence.  

Responsabilities : 

● Assist elders with personal care, hygiene, and physical exercises. 

● Prepare meals and help with feeding if needed. 

● Accompany Elders for shopping, nursing or gathering visits. 

● Perform housekeeping tasks, including cleaning clothes and bedsheets. 

● Provide emotional support and be attentive to their needs. 

● Remind elders to take their medication. 

● Report unusual incidents or concerns and act quickly and responsibly in case of 

emergency. 

● Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for Elders. 

● Have close communications with the PLA team and staff. 

Qualifications : 

● Knowledge on emergency responses and physical endurance.  

● Being respectful and compassionate, have good communication skills and good time 

management, knowledge on traditional values and respect confidentiality. 

● Be able to work day or night, be punctual  training with KI in a caregiver course. 

Salary and Benefits : 

Starting at $26.00/h  

Full time position : 40 hours per week, monday to friday  

Benefits : 4 weeks of vacation after one year of continuous service and sick leaves.
