Job Information

- Person who performs psychosocial tasks and participates in promotion and prevention activities;

- Ensure clients keep ties with their culture while away from home (e.g. traditional storytelling, acquiring and

preparing traditional dishes, traditional games, traditional sewing and beading, throat singing, soapstone carving,

local activities);

- Accompany the clients at medical or court appointments and offer translation when needed;

- Works in collaboration with Makivvik, Nunavimmi Ilagit Papatauvinga or any other Inuit associations

- Any other related task.

Exigences spécifiques/Specific Requirements

- High School Diploma (DES) completed

- In the absence of a DES, extensive knowledge and experiences of Inuit culture will be considered.

- Be fluent in Inuktitut and English (spoken and written) French is an asset.

- Demonstrate a positive attitude, a sense of responsibility and organization.
