Job Purpose : 

POSITION : COOK (Full-time, Inukjuak) 

The Cook at Ayagutaq is responsible for preparing nutritious and healthy meals for 

residents.  

This role also includes managing the community kitchen and supporting 

community cooking  activities.  

Duties and Responsibilities :  

• Cook and prepare nutritious meals (breakfast, lunch, supper and snacks)                                            

• Plan and coordinate community kitchen activities, including teaching and sharing recipes                 

• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen area  

• Offer suggestions for kitchen improvements  

• Perform other related duties as required  

Qualifications : 

• Ability to write and speak in Inuktitut and English  

• Previous cooking experience (an asset) 

• Good team spirit and communication skills 

Salary and Benefits : 

Starting at $26.00/h  

Full time position : 35 hours, monday to friday 

Benefits : 4 weeks of vacation after one year of continuous service and sick leaves.
