The Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services (NRBHSS), incorporated under the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement (Section 15) as well as the Act respecting Health Services and Social Services, covers the entire territory located north of the 55th parallel. Its mission is to adapt health and social services programs to the population’s needs and the region’s realities and to ensure efficient organization of the resources made available to the Nunavik region.

MANAGEMENT AND SERVICE :

JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the supervision of the director of administrative services and in collaboration with the assistant director, the finance coordinator plays a key role in managing and optimizing the region’s financial and administrative processes. The incumbent participates in the management, coordination, and supervision of the Board’s financial and administrative functions. He or she supports the Directorate in implementing policies and projects related to the full financial cycle, logistics, and procurement.
The Finance Coordinator acts as a resource person for internal and external partners and ensures the optimization of financial and administrative processes, taking into account the northern and cultural realities of Nunavik.
Main Responsibilities:
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor financial and administrative activities;
• Participate in the development and implementation of management policies and procedures;
• Oversee budgeting, financial operations, payroll, and procurement activities;
• Manage tenders, contracts, and purchasing processes;
• Collaborate with regional partners and Nunavik health establishments.
REQUIREMENTS
• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation;
• Bachelor’s degree in administration, public management, health services management, or any other relevant field;
• For beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement, a combination of relevant experience and education will be considered;
• Significant management experience in areas related to this position;
• Experience in the health or social services sector (an asset);
• Demonstrated experience in financial management, payroll, accounting, purchasing, and logistics.
KEY COMPETENCIES:
• Strong leadership and proven ability in both strategic and operational management;
• Excellent command of technological tools and information systems;
• Rigor, autonomy, sound judgment, political acumen, and strong analytical and decision-making skills;
• Good understanding of Nunavik’s sociocultural context and Inuit culture (an asset);
• Proficiency in at least two (2) of the three (3) languages used in the region: Inuktitut, English, or French.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• Please note that interviews are expected to take place during the week of November 17, 2025;
• Work location: Position based in Kuujjuaq. Northern deployment is prioritized; however, telework from the South may be considered based on operational needs. Occasional travel to the North may be required depending on service activities.
Priority will be given to beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Full-time position;
• Day shift;
• Salary in accordance with MSSS conditions for management staff, Class 38 ($94 306 to $122 596 annually).
