The place of work is in Nunavik

The normal work schedule is on a rotation of 4 weeks: 2 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 2 weeks of rest.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Reporting to the Exploration Geologist, the Core shack Helper is responsible for assisting the Project Geologists. His main responsibilities are:

 To assist the geologists in their day-to-day tasks;

 Assist in the management of the core shack.

 Sawing drill core samples.

 Receiving and storing boxes of cores.

 Assist in the handling of core boxes, rejects and pulps and other materials;

 Assist logistics planner with field work;

 Perform any other tasks that the project geologist or senior technician deems necessary to ensure the efficiency and quality of exploration activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

 Be in good physical shape, be able to lift heavy weights (maximum of 45 lbs);

 Possession of a valid driver's license is essential (territorial accepted). 

 Interest in geology and exploration and mining industry; 

ASSETS 

 Ability to communicate in at least two of the following languages: Inuktitut, English or French (trilingual will be considered an asset).

 Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook);
