Kativik Ilisarniliriniq (KI) is a school board offering educational services in the 14 communities of Nunavik.
Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Adult Education and Vocational Training, the E-Learning and
Curriculum Development Education Consultant is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of
the curriculum; while ensuring compliance with the academic and administrative requirements of the educational
institutions, the board, and the Ministry of Education. The main responsibilities include:
• Advise and support management, teaching and professional staff, individually or through the planning and delivery
of workshops, on matters pertaining to the integration of technology, including but not limited to online learning
and innovative learning professional development programs, pedagogical adaptation, etc., as well as planning the
programs and evaluating the results;
• Contribute to the implementation of programs of study and training within a Learning Management System.
Provide advice to colleagues concerning the interpretation of those programs, design and lead training sessions
on program components; and collaborate in developing learning situations and support experimentation in class;
• Provide teachers with online learning evaluation tools and guide them in online learning design, preparation or
adaptation of evaluation tools.
• Analyze and recommend the purchase of online learning materials, supplementary materials, equipment, software
and program packages, and provide advice on room layouts;
• Communicate and collaborate with RECIT educational consultants regarding the integration of technology and
online learning support within Québec’s Adult Education sector;
• Collaborate with education consultants and stakeholders from other education services groups to ensure the
continuity and coherence of all of Kativik Ilisarniliriniq programs;
• Support teachers and provide the necessary materials for personal and professional development;
• Frequent travels to Nunavik;
• Perform any other related task requested by the immediate superior.
QUALIFICATIONS:
An undergraduate degree in a relevant field, notably in andragogy and education technology.
The Board may, at its discretion, waive any or all of the aforementioned qualifications if it finds a suitable candidate
who is a beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement (JBNQA) and who accepts, as a condition of
employment, to follow a training plan determined by the Board.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Written and spoken fluency in two of the three languages of the board (Inuktitut, French and English);
• Experience in developing adult education programs;
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
• Knowledge of the MEES regulations and experience in its implementation;
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work in a diverse team.
CLASSIFICATION / SALARY / BENEFITS:
In accordance with the SPPENOM collective agreement for professionals. This position belongs to job category 2104:
from $49,456 TO $92,027 annually depending on qualification and experience. All benefits are prorated based on
the percentage of the task.
