Employment Advisor - Ajurisarvik
EMPLOYMENT ADVISOR Job posting
AJURISARVIK - ᐊᔪᕆᓴᕐᕕᒃ (Practice Enterprise Inukjuak)
A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK WITHIN THE INUIT COMMUNNITY OF
INUKJUAK IN NUNAVIK!
Located in Inukjuak, Nunavik, the Practice Enterprise AJURISARVIK
- ᐊᔪᕆᓴᕐᕕᒃ is
an initiative by the Kativik Regional Government, managed by PS Jeunesse, to
increase the training options and employability of the Nunavik Inuit.
A Practice Enterprise (PE) is a simulation of a real business
where people can train for specific office positions. Through the PE, participants
can gain experience in multiple fields of activity such as accounting,
purchasing, sales, administration roles, etc. through international inter-company
transactions with over 7000 other Practice Enterprises via the Canadian
Practice Enterprise Network (CPEN) and the Practice Enterprise Network
International (PEN Worldwide).
Within a PE, the focus is the enhancement of professional and personal skills, as well as job search activities and support. At Ajurisarvik, participants will be learning a role by completing the concrete tasks related to this role, which will allow them to practice without any fear of making mistakes, through a simulated business selling Inuit art. This is a new pilot project to be offered to the Nunavimmiut in 2025.
