The normal work schedule is on a rotation of 6 weeks: 3 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 3 weeks of rest.

Your next challenge

Reporting to the Geologist, the exploration intern is responsible for assisting senior geologist and project geologist.

• Assist the exploration geologist in their daily tasks.

• Conduct gyroscopic deviation surveys in the boreholes;

• Assist in the management of the core shack;

• Identify drill hole locations and drilling site preparation;

• Inspection of the drilling site; During and after drilling operations, ensure that environmental and safety standards are met;

• Perform geophysical data acquisition on drill cores; Measure magnetic susceptibility, conductivity and rock density from drill cores;

• Measure the density of representative rock types and mineralization types and record the data in a table provided.

The profile Sought

• University Student, specialising in geology or geological engineering;

• Be in good physical shape, be able to lift heavy weights (maximum 45 lbs);

• Good knowledge of the MS Office suite;

• Possess a valid driver's license is essential.

• Definite orientation towards health-safety and environment rules and guidelines;

• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and team;

• Resourceful, dynamic, flexible, autonomous, independent and with a strong sense of work organization;

• Experience in a northern context (asset);

• Ability to work under pressure.
