HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR CLASS 2

LONG-TERM TEMPORARY – UNIONIZED POSITION TO FILL 6 Code SS25-06 HOURLY RATE 44,56$ DEADLINE TO APPLY OCTOBER 24 TH, 2025

The work location is in Nunavik and the normal work schedule is on a rotation of 6 weeks: 3 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 3 weeks for rest.

FUTURE CHALLENGES

Reporting to the Surface Services Supervisor, the Heavy Equipment Operator Class 2, will be responsible for:

•Drive different trucks (semi-trailer truck, fardier truck, vacuum truck, bus, fuel tanker, water tanker, sand truck, etc.);

•Operate heavy machinery such as D-8/6/3 tractor, wheel loaders, hydraulic shovel, 40-ton mining truck, telescopic masttruck.

•Maintain the roads on the mine site with all types of heavy machinery specific to this task.

•He ensures that he inspects and conducts preventive maintenance on his equipment consistently.

•Perform all tasks related to airport services.

•If needed, performs all other tasks requested by supervisor.

PROFILE REQUIRED

•Hold a heavy equipment course (DEP) or any other diploma combined with experience deemed equivalent.

•Have a minimum of 6,000 hours of experience as a truck driver and 4,000 hours as a construction machinery operator.

•Experience in a northern environment.

•Hold an explosive permit.

•Hold a valid driver’s license class 1 (SAAQ).
