Home care – Your community needs you !
Do you want to help people in your community? We are looking for kind and responsible Inuit workers to help people in loss of autonomy or with other difficulties at home — just a few hours a week, or more if you’re available.
This job is part of the Direct Allowances Program from the Government of Quebec. It allows people who need help at home to hire someone they trust — often from their own community.
Please note that Inuulitsivik Health center is a facilitator of this program and supports the registration of caring workers to the Direct allowances program.
Tasks and Responsibilities
You will help someone at home with one or many of the following tasks:
- House cleaning (mopping the floors, do the dishes, help with laundry, etc.)
- Preparing simple meals
- Running small errands as needed
- Performing other basic daily tasks
- Engaging in simple recreational activities
- Provide active listening and reassurance
Who Can Apply?
- Must live in Puvirnituq
- No professional diploma needed
- Able provide a void check
- Reliable, respectful, and committed to helping the community
- Available to work up to 6 hours per week, divided into two or three shifts
Salary
$30 per hour, paid through the Inuulitsivik Health Center.
