The Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services (NRBHSS), incorporated under the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement
(section 15) as well as the Act respecting health services and social services, covers the entire territory located north of the 55th parallel.
Its mission is to adapt health and social services programs to the population’s needs and the region’s realities and to ensure efficient
organization of the resources made available to the Nunavik region.
The regional board seeks to fill the following temporary assignment:

MANAGEMENT AND DEPARTMENT: HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTORATE, # 70003- RECRUITMENT AND STAFFING
DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the assistant director of human resources, the human resources officer actively participates in the
planning, organization, implementation and control of all staffing activities to ensure optimal performance.
Your responsibilities also include:
• Manage the entire recruitment process;
• Develop talent acquisition strategies;
• Build and maintain a network of potential candidates;
• Advise managers throughout the recruitment process;
• Develop and maximize the use of social media for sourcing candidates;
• Organize recruitment events and develop strategic partnerships to reach Nunavimmiut candidates.
Candidates who are beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement shall receive priority.
REQUIREMENTS
• For candidates who are beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement, a combination
of relevant experience and training may be considered;
• Bachelor's degree in business administration or other appropriate academic discipline;
• Staffing experience (an asset);
• Experience in the health and social services network (an asset);
• Knowledge of labor laws and staffing standards;
• Knowledge of HR best practices;
• Experience in a northern environment will be considered an important asset;
• Bilingualism required in two (2) of the three (3) languages used in Nunavik (English, Inuktitut, French);
• Knowledge of standard computer tools;
• Knowledge of Logibec (significant asset);
• Effective management of time and priorities, rigor and attention to detail in handling files, proactivity,
ability to influence, autonomy, discernment and judgment, decision-making ability;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• Please note that interviews are expected to be conducted during the week of September 7 or September
14, 2026;
• Home base: Position based in the North (Kuujjuaq) with the possibility of teleworking. Travel to Nunavik
communities is expected as needed;
• This position is open to applications from other communities, with an opportunity to relocate to Kuujjuaq.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Full-time assignment (35 hours/week), one-year term with possibility of extension;
• Day shift;
• Salary in accordance with MSSS conditions and candidate qualifications ($30.56/h to $52.37/h).
