Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services (NRBHSS), established under the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement
(Chapter 15) and the Act Respecting Health Services and Social Services, serves the entire territory north of the 55th parallel. Its mission is
to adapt health and social services programs to the needs of the population and the realities of the region, while ensuring the effective
organization of the resources available to Nunavik.
The Regional Board wishes to fill the following full-time or part-time position:

DEPARTMENT AND SERVICE: HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT, #70005 – ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Director, the incumbent will work in a stimulating environment centered on human values, in
alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services.
The incumbent will serve as a Human Resources Officer and will carry out their duties in a context of
transformation and continuous improvement aimed at increasing and strengthening Inuit representation within
the NRBHSS workforce.
The incumbent will also contribute to strategic planning and the implementation of initiatives that impact the
practices, programs, and strategies of the Human Resources Department.
Responsibilities also include:
• Contributing to the development of Inuit talent and succession planning within the Regional Board;
• Participating in the adaptation of HR programs and practices to the realities of Nunavik;
• Collaborating on initiatives related to attracting, recruiting, training, and retaining Inuit employees;
• Acting as a resource person to integrate Inuit perspectives into HR projects and strategies;
• Supporting managers in change management and organizational development initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS
• Position reserved for Inuit beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement;
• Experience in project management, leadership, community engagement, or cultural initiatives will be
considered an asset.
• A good understanding of human resources management issues and contexts within an Indigenous
organization in the health and social services network will be considered an asset;
• Work experience in Nunavik is an asset.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team in a dynamic and
constantly evolving environment;
• Excellent oral and written proficiency in at least two of the three languages used in the region (Inuktitut,
English, and French);
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Outlook, or willingness to
acquire these skills.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• Please note that interviews may be conducted during the week of August 3, 2026;
• Preferred work location: Kuujjuaq; however, remote work may be possible.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Full-time or part-time position according to the successful candidate's preference; however, a minimum of
three (3) working days per week will be required;
• Schedule: Monday to Friday;
• Day shift;
• Salary according to MSSS conditions and the candidate’s qualifications ($30.56/hour to $52.37/hour).
Northern Benefits: Employees who reside in or relocate to Nunavik may be eligible for various premiums,
including attraction and retention bonuses, northern isolation allowances, and food transportation allowances.
For individuals hired from more than 50 km away from Kuujjuaq, low-cost housing is provided along with
reimbursement of moving and storage expenses. In addition, annual personal travel from Kuujjuaq to the point
of hire is included, along with other benefits.
