The Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services (NRBHSS), incorporated under the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement
(section 15) as well as the Act respecting health services and social services, covers the entire territory located north of the 55th parallel.
Its mission is to adapt health and social services programs to the population’s needs and the region’s realities and to ensure efficient
organization of the resources made available to the Nunavik region.
The regional board seeks to fill the following permanent position:

DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Communications Coordinator, you will play a central role in the design and implementation of
communications strategies to support Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services (NRBHSS)
initiatives. Under the supervision of the Communications Coordinator, you will be responsible for the creation
and deployment of effective communications content and tools, while ensuring alignment with organizational
standards and objectives.
Your responsibilities also include to:
• Participate in the evaluation and development of general internal and external information programs;
• Work on the production of promotional and information tools for RRSSSN departments;
• Develop communication plans;
• Work closely with the Public Health Department to support internal communications efforts within the
organization;
• Ensure deployment of communication strategies, monitor success and propose adjustments as needed;
• Work on the production of information tools, including copywriting;
• Write press releases, information notes, public notices, etc. ;
• Implement communications recommendations according to priorities.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree in literature, humanities, social sciences or other relevant academic discipline.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in communications and/or media and public relations;
• For candidates who are beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement, a
combination of relevant experience and education may be considered;
• Good expertise in social media management;
• Knowledge of communication practices in an intercultural context;
• Excellent knowledge of two of the three languages used in the region: Inuktitut, English or French;
• Knowledge of Inuit culture and the region will be considered an asset;
• Experience in the health and social services network an asset;
• Flexibility, adaptability, autonomy and teamwork;
• Ability to handle a variety of mandates and files simultaneously;
• Ability to synthesize and popularize complex information;
• Solution-oriented analytical skills;
Candidates who are beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement shall receive priority.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Permanent, full-time position;
• Based in Kuujjuaq or teleworking with travel to Nunavik;
• Salary according to MSSS rules ($26.22/hr to $43.49/hr).
Northern benefits (if position established on Nunavik territory): retention bonus ($6,000/year), remoteness bonus
($10,627/year), cost-of-living bonus ($3,870/year) and if hired more than 50 km from Kuujjuaq, low-cost housing
provided, moving and storage expenses reimbursed, personal annual outings from Kuujjuaq to point of hire, etc.
