The Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services (NRBHSS), established under the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement
(Chapter 15) and the Act Respecting Health Services and Social Services, covers all territory located north of the 55th parallel. Its mission
is to adapt health and social service programs to the needs of the population and the realities of the region, while ensuring the effective
organization of resources made available to the Nunavik region.
The Regional Board is seeking to fill the following permanent full-time position:

DEPARTMENT AND SERVICE: ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DEPARTMENT, #10002, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
DESCRIPTION
The incumbent is responsible for the software and hardware configuration, optimization, and security of information
systems, technological infrastructures, and telecommunications networks. They perform various tasks related to
database administration and management. They ensure the implementation, proper functioning, and evolution of
complex technological components at the local, regional, or provincial level. They act as a subject-matter expert in
their area of specialization and provide support to IT technicians in resolving highly complex or specialized issues. They
may also develop implementation plans for technology projects and coordinate the work of IT technicians.
Your responsibilities include:
• Administering, configuring, and maintaining cybersecurity solutions to ensure the protection of systems, data, and technological infrastructures;
• Monitoring security events, analyzing alerts, and participating in the management of cybersecurity incidents;
• Conducting risk analyses, vulnerability assessments, and recommending corrective measures;
• Collaborating in the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of IT security controls;
• Providing advisory support to IT teams regarding cybersecurity and compliance matters;
• Participating in business continuity, disaster recovery, and incident response activities;
• Producing documentation, procedures, reports, and recommendations related to their area of expertise;
• Contributing to awareness initiatives and to the development of a cybersecurity culture within the organization;
• Acting as a resource person for information security and performing any other related duties.
REQUIREMENTS
• Must possess a Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Computer Science Technology from an educational institution
recognized by the appropriate ministry, or a Diploma of College Studies (DEC) combined with a relevant
undergraduate university certificate, or a relevant Attestation of College Studies (AEC) consisting of 800 hours or more;
• Must have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, information security operations,
technology risk management, or a combination of technical and security governance functions.
For candidates who are beneficiaries under the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement, an equivalent
combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.

• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and tools, Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, identity and access management, network security, as well as Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Entra ID;
• Proficiency in both French and English, spoken and written.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• Please note that interviews may take place during the week of August 17, 2026;
• Work location: Remote, with occasional travel to Kuujjuaq as required.
Priority will be given to candidates who are beneficiaries under the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Permanent full-time position (35 hours per week);
• Day shift, Monday to Friday;
• Salary according to MSSS conditions and the candidate’s qualifications ($28.40 to $40.88 per hour).
Northern Benefits: Employees who establish residence in Nunavik may be eligible for various allowances,
including recruitment and retention bonuses, isolation allowances, and food transportation allowances. For
those hired from locations more than 50 km from Kuujjuaq, subsidized housing is provided, along with
reimbursement of moving and storage expenses. In addition, annual personal trips from Kuujjuaq to the point of
hire are included, as well as other benefits.
