The Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services (NRBHSS), established under the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement 

(Chapter 15) and the Act Respecting Health Services and Social Services, covers all territory located north of the 55th parallel. Its mission 

is to adapt health and social service programs to the needs of the population and the realities of the region, while ensuring the effective 

organization of resources made available to the Nunavik region. 

The Regional Board is seeking to fill the following temporary assignment:

DEPARTMENT AND SERVICE: ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DEPARTMENT - SERVICE #10002, INFORMATION 

TECHNOLOGY 

DESCRIPTION 

Reporting to the Information Technology Services Coordinator, you will provide support to users of the Nunavik 

Regional Board of Health and Social Services, as well as to users at our two health centres and other service 

points. 

You will be responsible for installing and configuring computers, software, and required peripherals, either 

remotely or onsite. 

You will maintain the organization's IT equipment inventory, perform incident diagnostics, and document 

interventions and procedures. 

REQUIREMENTS 

• For candidates who are beneficiaries under the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement, an equivalent 

combination of relevant education and experience may be considered; 

• Must hold a Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Computer Science Technology from an institution recognized 

by the appropriate ministry, or a Diploma of College Studies (DEC) combined with a relevant undergraduate 

university certificate, or a relevant Attestation of College Studies (AEC) of 800 hours or more. A minimum of 

four (4) years of relevant experience is required; 

• Experience with backup and recovery technologies, server administration, infrastructure monitoring, and 

troubleshooting. 

DESIRED PROFILE 

• Knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite and collaboration tools (Teams, Planner, SharePoint); 

• Commitment to implementing solutions that comply with security principles; 

• Knowledge of networking technologies, TCP/IP, Active Directory, routers, Windows Server 2016/2019, and 

Microsoft 365; 

• Proficiency with virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V); 

• Experience configuring and securing network switches; 

• Familiarity with the 802.1X protocol; 

• Demonstrates autonomy, initiative, and strong teamwork skills; 

• Available to work evenings and weekends according to a schedule to be determined; 

• Proficiency in at least two (2) of the three (3) languages used in the region: Inuktitut, English, or French. 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 

• Work Location: Remote assignment. Please note that travel to Nunavik may be required depending on service 

needs; 

• Interviews may be conducted during the week of September 7 or September 14, 2026. 

WORKING CONDITIONS 

• Full-time temporary assignment, 35 hours per week, for a period of one (1) year, with the possibility of 

extension; 

• Day shift; 

• Salary according to MSSS regulations and the candidate's qualifications ($28.40/hour to $40.88/hour).

including a retention bonus, an isolation allowance, and a cost-of-living differential. Employees hired from 

locations more than 50 km from Kuujjuaq are provided with subsidized housing and reimbursement of moving 

and storage expenses. In addition, annual personal trips between Kuujjuaq and the point of hire are included, 

along with other benefits.
