The work location is in Nunavik and the normal work schedule is 11 hours per day on a rotation of 6 weeks: 3 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 3 weeks for rest.

RESPONSABILITÉS

Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor, the mechanic is involved in all pick-up maintenance activities, acts as the interface between mechanics, electricity and electronics, and performs his tasks in accordance with the rules of Health and safety and the environment in his workplace. Its main tasks include:

▪ Perform preventative maintenance

▪ Identify and diagnose faults (on Ford F-250 diesel pick-ups and Toyotas)

▪ Confirm and report mechanical issues.

▪ Reconfirm mechanical or electronic systems and perform tests to verify that everything is working.

▪ Respond to company health and safety requirements and recommendations

▪ Perform other related duties associated with this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

▪  Diploma of vocational studies (DEP) in automotive or heavy truck mechanics or experience deemed equivalent.

▪ A minimum of 16,000 Hours of experience in pick-up mechanics and other maintenance issues.

▪ Experience with Ford, Toyota, diesel engine and electronics products.

▪ Valid class 5 driver's license.
