The work location is at Nunavik and the normal work schedule is on a rotation of 4 weeks: 2 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 2 weeks for rest.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor, the Machinist performs their tasks while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in the workplace. Their main responsibilities include:
• Performing machining and welding work of all kinds on mobile equipment and plant parts (e.g., hydraulic cylinders);
• Marking, cutting, assembling, and manufacturing special alloy parts, and welding metal components according to plans or specifications using appropriate tools; selecting and using suitable metals and alloys;
• Maintaining and repairing machining equipment and reporting any defects;
• Using and completing all necessary documentation for work tracking and drafting inspection reports;
• Proposing to their immediate supervisor any process improvements aimed at optimizing work efficiency;
• Performing any other related tasks associated with their position.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Hold a Vocational Studies Diploma (DEP) in machining, parts manufacturing, and hydraulic cylinder repair;
• Have a minimum of 8 years of experience, including 4 years in machining equipment operation and 4 years as a welder;
• CWB certification is an asset;
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license;
• Due to frequent interactions with English-speaking team members, bilingualism (French/English) is an asset to facilitate and enhance internal communications.
