MAINTENANCE CONCENTRATOR SUPERVISOR

The work location is in Nunavik and the normal work schedule is on a rotation of 4 weeks: 2 weeks worked (77 hours per
week, 7 days a week) followed by 2 weeks for rest.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Concentrator Maintenance Superintendent, the Maintenance Concentrator Supervisor is responsible
for his sector of activity and his main responsibilities are:
▪ Manage and mobilize his work team composed in particular, maintenance mechanic, welder, pipefitter and
subcontractor;
▪ Ensure the scheduling and execution of corrective/preventive maintenance work according to the planning of the
latter either in normal operation or during planned shutdowns;
▪ Ensure the health, safety and quality of the work performed by the work team under his responsibility;
▪ Work in close collaboration with the production supervisors and planners;
▪ Handles unexpected breakdowns during operations;
▪ Recommend changes and procedures that could improve work methods and increase productivity in the short
and long term;
▪ Produce various weekly reports;
▪ Conduct performance evaluations and hiring of personnel for his/her work team;
▪ Perform any other tasks deemed necessary to ensure the efficient operation of the concentrator.
QUALIFICATIONS
▪ Possess either a college or vocational diploma (DEC/DEP) in an appropriate discipline;
▪ Have a minimum of 6 years experience related to the position in a concentrator.
▪ Have a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience;
▪ Demonstrate project management and continuous improvement skills;
▪ Experience in troubleshooting and problem resolution;
▪ Good knowledge of MS Office Suite;
▪ Knowledge of IT Guide is an asset;
▪ Bilingualism (English and French);
▪ Hold a valid driver’s license.
