The Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services (NRBHSS), incorporated under the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement
(section 15) as well as the Act respecting health services and social services, covers the entire territory located north of the 55th parallel.
Its mission is to adapt health and social services programs to the population’s needs and the region’s realities and to ensure efficient
organization of the resources made available to the Nunavik region.

MANAGEMENT AND DEPARTMENT: DIRECTORATE ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES, #10005 TECHNICAL SERVICES
DESCRIPTION
This internship is designed for someone with no experience who wants to learn basic maintenance skills while
helping keep our offices and staff lodgings in good condition. The intern will work under the direct supervision
of a building technician and will learn and assist with simple repairs.
Your responsibilities also include to:
• Assist and learn with simple repairs in buildings and facilities;
• Change light bulbs and perform other routine maintenance tasks;
• Help with building inspections and identify small issues to report;
• Organize tools and supplies in the maintenance workshop and storage areas;
• Help with uncrating and sorting sealift shipments;
• Support the maintenance technician during larger jobs and learn to use basic tools safely.
REQUIREMENTS
• Kuujjuaq resident, current student returning to school in the fall.
• No prior experience required — this internship is designed to introduce candidates to maintenance work;
• Interest in maintenance and a willingness to learn;
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions;
• Comfortable with hands-on, physical tasks;
• Working knowledge of Inuktitut, English and/or French.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• Please note that interviews will potentially be conducted during the week of May 25,2026.
• Home base: Assignment based in Kuujjuaq. This internship is intended for local candidates already residing
in Kuujjuaq. The position is on-site only.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Status: Temporary Full-Time —for the duration of the summer school break - approximately 10 weeks;
• Work shift: Daytime, Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week;
• Salary in accordance with MSSS conditions: $26.62/hour.
