JOB OPPORTUNITY

The Kativik Regional Government (KRG), a supra municipal body with jurisdiction over the territory located north of the 55th parallel, is now looking for a self-motivated and dynamic individual interested in joining the KRG to work in the capacity of:

Messenger/Van Driver

(Permanent, Full time)

Reporting to the Operations & Logistics Coordinator of the Administration Department, the messenger/van driver will be responsible for the specific duties:

• As required, be at the airport for scheduled flights in which KRG employees or consultants are travelling.

• Responsible for the daily pick up and local distribution of all mail and cargo for KRG offices, ensuring accurate reporting of pick-ups, deliveries,

• Attending to errands as needed for the delivery of KRG programs and services.

• Through daily operational checklists, ensure smooth, efficient, and consistent day-to-day functioning of basic office requirements.

• Responsible for the regular cleaning and basic inspections of the KRG passenger van (checking oil, fluids, etc.);

• Any other related tasks.

Requirements:

• Must hold a valid driver’s license.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills

• Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail

• Must be able to do heavy lifting from time to time.

• Ability to work well without constant supervision.

• Basic computer knowledge.

• Ability to work evenings and/or weekends occasionally.

Place of work: Kuujjuaq

Salary: Min. $38,580 yearly, Max. $60,757 yearly (Class 4)

Other benefits: Cost-of-living differential: minimum $8 500 annually;

Food allowance: minimum $4 216 annually;

Annual leave trips: maximum of 3, per person, annually;

Simplified Pension Plan;

Vacation: 20 days annually;

Statutory holidays: 20 days including 10 during the Christmas period.
