MINE GEOLOGIST

The place of work is in Nunavik DEADLINE TO APPLY JANUARY 23RD 2026
The work is on rotations 14/14 (14 days of work on site followed by 14 days off). The usual work schedule is of 11 hours
a day over 4 weeks of remuneration, 2 weeks worked (77 hours a week, 7 days a week) followed by 2 weeks of rest.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the mine senior geologist the mine geologist is responsible for:
• Assist his/her supervisor in all the Company's operating activities.
• Work directly in the open pit and underground mines by visiting the ore extraction zones and doing the
daily follow-up of the production activities.
• Supervise the work of the geological technicians, responsible for grade control in open pit and
underground mines.
• Validate the tonnages and the grades of the stockpiles.
• Assist, do the follow up and participate to the description of the underground drilling cores.
• Assist the Environmental department, Engineering department and Mining Operations in works and all
other matters related to production geology (acid generating waste, geological structures and
characteristics of the walls in open pit and underground etc.).
• Perform geological mapping in open pit and underground.
• Supervise the process of integration and interpretation of the production drilling data and design of the ore
packets.
• Perform any other duties considered necessary by the mine senior geologist in order to optimize the mining
activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
• University degree (BAC) in geosciences (geology or geological engineering).
• The geologist must be a member in good standing of the Quebec Order of Geologists or Engineers
• The geologist would have good knowledge of the Cape Smith Belt geology and magmatic Ni-Cu-Co and
PGE ore deposits.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in production geology in open pit and underground.
• Good skills in verbal and written communication (emails, reports, presentations, etc.).
• Training on Mining Modules (FMTM), an asset.
• Possession of a valid general explosive license.
• A valid driver's license class 5 is necessary.
ASSETS
• Good knowledge of MS Office, Surpac, Deswik / Promine.
• Bilingual (French and English).
