HOURLY RATE 43,34$ DEADLINE TO APPLY JANUARY 22, 2026

The work location is in Nunavik and the normal work schedule is on a rotation of 6 weeks: 3 weeks worked (77 hours 

per week, 7 days a week) followed by 3 weeks for rest.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Reporting to the Supervisor, the main responsibilities of the Blaster Helper are:

• Execute all assigned explosive loading tasks as directed by the lead blaster, in compliance with current 

standards and regulations.

• Assist the blaster in executing blasting work or any other task requiring the use of explosives.

• Prepare the site for the driller.

• Maintain inventory tracking of explosive and non-explosive products.

• Perform equipment inspections before and after each shift.

• If required, assume the responsibilities of the blaster.

• As needed, perform any other tasks requested by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Have the skill to operate a CAT AD30 mining truck, a CAT 420F backhoe, and a Jeep Land Cruiser boom 

truck.

• Possess a General Explosives Permit.

• Have obtained a high school diploma.

• Familiarity with electronic initiation systems is an asset.

• Possess mining modules FMTM 1 to 5 and 7.

• Have 0 to 2 years of experience.

• Due to frequent interactions with French-speaking team members, bilingualism (French/English) is an asset 

to facilitate and improve internal communications.
