The normal work schedule is on a rotation of 4 weeks paid i.e., 2 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 2 weeks paid to rest.

FUTURE CHALLENGES

Reporting to the Chief Mine Engineer, the Mining Production Engineer is responsible for:

• Planning, organizing, designing, and overseeing the follow-up of both underground and open-pit mining operations;

• Developing mining cycles with a focus on continuous improvement;

• Planning and progressing work according to plans and specifications, both in the short and medium term;

• Coordinating interactions between the engineering department, mining department, Environmental department, and others;

• Setting short-term production objectives to meet the Life of Mine (LOM) plan;

• Supervising the team of planners and surveyors and ensuring the quality of the information provided;

• Preparing weekly and monthly progress reports on operations;

• Following up and planning orders for various consumables required for operations;

• Performing any other tasks deemed necessary by the supervisor to ensure the efficient operation of the Company’s activities.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• A Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering;

• A member in good standing of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec;

• At least 3 years of relevant experience;

• Excellent knowledge of short- and medium-term mine planning;

• Proven experience in both open-pit and underground mining;

• Experience in permafrost areas;

• Strong skills in rock mechanics;

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Deswik software;

• A valid driver's license;

• A general explosives handling permit, as well as the FMTM modules (1-2-3-4-5- and 7);

• Due to frequent interactions with English-speaking team members, bilingualism (French/English) is an asset to facilitate and improve internal communications.
