The Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services (NRBHSS), established pursuant to the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement (Chapter 15) as well as the Act Respecting Health Services and Social Services, covers the entire territory located north of the 55th parallel. Its mission is to adapt health and social services programs to the needs of the population and the realities of the region, and to ensure the efficient organization of resources made available to the Nunavik region.
The Regional Board is seeking to fill the following temporary part-time assignment for twelve (12) months:

DIRECTORATE AND DEPARTMENT: PUBLIC HEALTH DIRECTORATE, INFECTIOUS DISEASES DEPARTMENT #40007
DESCRIPTION
Under the authority of the Infectious Diseases Coordinator and as a member of the Nunavik Public Health Directorate team, the incumbent will support infection prevention and control activities in community settings, outside healthcare facilities, across Nunavik.
Responsibilities include:
• Advising the organization on matters related to infection prevention and control programs;
• Designing, implementing, and evaluating the infection prevention and control program in Nunavik community settings;
• Developing and delivering training related to infection prevention and control within community environments;
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the most recent provincial guidelines and updates;
• Working closely with various local partners and stakeholders;
• Developing, planning, and delivering the activities of the community infection prevention and control team within organizations and community settings throughout Nunavik (Community IPC), including:
o Conducting field visits to targeted settings;
o Providing support in the implementation of procedures adapted to the realities of targeted environments;
o Supporting and developing environments toward greater autonomy in infection prevention;
o Preparing visit reports.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and active membership with the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ);
• Mandatory bilingualism in English and French;
• Availability to work in a remote region context;
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
• Experience working in Nunavik and knowledge of Inuit culture considered an asset;
• Experience in intercultural settings considered an asset;
• Experience in a school setting considered an asset.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• Please note that interviews may take place during the week of May 4, 2026;
• Work location: Remote work;
• Occasional travel to Nunavik based on operational needs.
Beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement will be given priority.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Temporary part-time assignment (based on operational needs);
• Day shift;
• Salary according to MSSS conditions and the candidate’s qualifications ($31.48/hour to $57.75/hour).
