Nursuti Manager

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Between 60,000 – 75,000 according to experience and education, with Northern benefits (i.e., cargo allowance, vacation allowance, health insurance) 

Location: The Manager will work out of an office in Kangiqsujuaq or Salluit. 

The Manager will be required to travel between these two communities and Montreal. Travel and other expenses will be covered.

What is Nursuti? 

Nursuti aims to support Inuit entrepreneurs and Inuit-owned businesses (new and existing) in Nunavik through tools, workshops, and networks. 

Nursuti is a new organization which began operations in Summer of 2023 and is looking to continue establishing relationships and growing its operations. Nursuti is for Inuit by Inuit. For more information, visit the

We are looking for… 

A Sallumiuk or Kangirsujuarmiuq who has good relationships with Inuit beneficiaries, is keen to learn, and can build and maintain partnerships with supporting organizations. The Manager will play a key role in the daily operations and future growth of Nursuti. 

Job Description 

1) Building and maintaining key relationships 

  • Builds relationships with local entrepreneurs, community leaders, and external partner organizations 
  • Acts as the spokesperson for Nursuti to increase awareness and involvement of the communities
  • Listen to local news to stays informed on current issues and changing needs of communities 

2) Develop and implement Nursuti’s Annual Plan 

  • Work with the President to develop the annual plan 
  • Implement the annual plan, with support from Nursuti’s consultant ERM
  • Reports on the progress of the annual plan to the Board of Directors and members 

3) Working with external partners to deliver services to entrepreneurs 

  • Identify external partners who can deliver workshops and services 
  • Support external partners when they are delivering workshops and services in communities 
  • Provide information to local entrepreneurs about upcoming events 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Good communicator both oral and written (emails)
