Kativik Ilisarniliriniq (KI) is a school board offering educational services in the 14 communities of
Nunavik.
The Office Agent class II contributes to the preparation, processing, and circulation of the Resource
Center’s collection. This person provides administrative support for the daily operations of the department.
FUNCTION & DUTIES:
• Compile data and produce simple reports
• Complete forms, records, letters, and purchase orders
• File and organize books, documents, and other resources
• Carry out the preparation and repair of books when necessary
• Take part in the pruning of outdated resources
• Document requests for the acquisition of new resources
• Carry out the lending of materials and follow up on returns
• Perform text and data entry on the computer
• Greet and, if necessary, direct visitors to the relevant resources
• Receive, sort, and distribute mail, as well as prepare outgoing mail
QUALIFICATIONS:
Secondary V diploma or have an attestation of studies which is recognized by the Board.
The Board may, at its discretion, waive any or all of the afore-mentioned qualifications if it finds a suitable
candidate who is a beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement (JBNQA) and who
accepts, as a condition of employment, to follow a training plan determined by the Board.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Fluency in two of the three languages of the school board (English, French, or Inuktitut);
• Experience with data entry.
• Some knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
WORK SCHEDULE : 35 hours/week , Monday to Friday .
CLASSIFICATION / SALARY / BENEFITS:
In accordance with the AENQ collective agreement for support staff, this position belongs to job category
4103: from $ 24.90 to $25.95 an hour depending on qualification and experience. All benefits are prorated
based on the percentage of the task.
