The Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services (NRBHSS), established under the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement
(Chapter 15) and the Act Respecting Health Services and Social Services, covers the entire territory north of the 55th parallel. Its mission is
to adapt health and social service programs to the needs of the population and the realities of the region, while ensuring the effective
organization of the resources available to Nunavik.
The Regional Board is seeking to fill the following permanent position:

DESCRIPTION
Under the authority of the Psychosocial Affairs Coordinator, the incumbent contributes to the development and
enhancement of services for caregivers in Nunavik. Working in collaboration with communities, regional partners, and
the health and social services network, the incumbent participates in the planning and implementation of initiatives
that promote caregivers’ well-being and quality of life.
As a resource person, the incumbent assesses community needs, contributes to service planning, supports the
development of new initiatives, and assists in implementing solutions adapted to the realities of the communities. The
incumbent also acts as an advisor to partners in order to promote the continuity and improvement of home support
services and caregiver support services.
This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the well-being of families and
communities throughout Nunavik while working in a collaborative and people-centered environment.
Key responsibilities include:
• Contribute to the development, implementation, and monitoring of regional initiatives aimed at supporting caregivers in Nunavik;
• Collaborate with communities, community organizations, and network partners to identify needs and improve service delivery;
• Plan and coordinate information, awareness, training, and engagement activities for caregivers and frontline workers;
• Act as a resource person for partners and contribute to regional coordination efforts related to caregiving and home support services;
• Facilitate committees, follow up on strategic initiatives, and represent the Regional Board with various regional and ministerial bodies.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate university discipline such as administration, human sciences, or social sciences;
• Knowledge of the health and social services network, as well as experience related to caregiving, will be considered assets.
For candidates who are beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement, an equivalent
combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.

• Sensitivity to northern, intercultural, and community realities;
• Proficiency, both written and spoken, in at least two (2) of the three (3) languages used in Nunavik (French, English,
Inuktitut).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• Please note that interviews may take place during the week of August 10, 2026;
• Work location: Position based in Kuujjuaq or remote work, with regular travel to Nunavik.
Beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement will be given priority.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Permanent full-time position (35 hours per week);
• Day shift, Monday to Friday;
• Salary according to MSSS conditions and candidate qualifications ($31.03/hour to $54.98/hour).
Northern Benefits: Employees who relocate to Nunavik may be eligible for various premiums, including a recruitment
and retention premium, an isolation premium, and a food transportation allowance. For employees hired from
locations more than 50 km from Kuujjuaq, low-cost housing is provided, along with reimbursement of moving and
storage expenses. In addition, annual personal trips between Kuujjuaq and the point of hire are included, as well as
other benefits.
