The Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services (NRBHSS), incorporated under the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement
(section 15) as well as the Act respecting health services and social services, covers the entire territory located north of the 55th parallel.
Its mission is to adapt health and social services programs to the population’s needs and the region’s realities and to ensure efficient
organization of the resources made available to the Nunavik region.

MANAGEMENT AND SERVICE: PLANNING AND PROGRAMMING, # 41005 – MEDICAL AFFAIRS AND PHYSICAL HEALTH
JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the authority of the Coordinator of Medical Affairs and Physical Health, the individual works in collaboration with
regional partners to coordinate, implement, and maintain quality services that are accessible, continuous, and safe, in
alignment with regional and national priorities.
They carry out the activities required to identify and assess regional resources and needs. They design and propose
organizational plans to ensure appropriate service planning and provide guidance regarding the implementation or
enhancement of services.
They coordinate the implementation of physical health service corridors across the various levels of care (local, regional,
and university), oversee the development of service agreements, and ensure the continuity of services delivered to the
population.
They also assume specific mandates and serve as resource people for teams within regional institutions and the NRBHSS,
always with a view to strengthening continuity in service delivery.
Your responsibilities also include:
• Assume regional responsibility for the Intellectual Disability – Autism Spectrum Disorder (ID-ASD) and Physical
Rehabilitation portfolios;
• Lead and ensure the effective functioning of various committees and working groups;
• Attend meetings with the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux (MSSS) related to the portfolios under their
responsibility;
• Contribute to the planning, organization, and development of ID-ASD and Physical Rehabilitation services, including
clinical services;
• Ensure necessary communications, including the preparation of documentation (briefings, agendas, meeting minutes,
working documents, action plans, decision-making tools) to inform stakeholders and enhance coordination of actions;
• Collaborate in the development of tools required to operationalize orientations, prepare progress reports, and
participate in the systematic analysis of results;
• Conduct analyses and follow up on specific files at the request of the MSSS and other departments of the NRBHSS;
• Monitor allocated budgets and ensure appropriate reporting and accountability to the relevant authorities;
• Support the development and implementation of new partnerships for respite services;
• Contribute to service development, problem-solving initiatives, and service optimization, taking into account regional
specificities and the northern context;
• Carry out specific mandates and act as a resource person for teams within institutions and the NRBHSS to improve service
continuity;
• Collaborate with team members, partners, and other departments;
• Perform any other related tasks as requested by your immediate supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
• Must hold a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate university discipline such as administration, human sciences, or social
sciences;
• For candidates benefiting from the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement, a combination of relevant experience
and training may be considered;
• Must have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in a role related to project management or service
development;
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and engage effectively with
diverse stakeholders;
• Dynamism, autonomy, flexibility, thoroughness, and a sense of responsibility;
• Excellent oral and written proficiency in two of the three languages used in the region (Inuktitut, English, French).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• Interviews are tentatively scheduled for the week of March 16, 2026;
• Primary work location: Northern installation is prioritized, though remote work from the South may be possible
depending on operational needs. Note that travel to the North may be required based on service activities.
Candidates who are beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement shall receive priority.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Temporary full-time position (35 hours per week) for one year, with the possibility of extension;
• Remote work assignment;
• Day shift;
• Salary according to the conditions of the MSSS and the qualifications of the candidate ($30.27/h to $53.64/h).

low-cost housing is offered, along with reimbursement of moving and storage costs. In addition, annual personal trips from
