The Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services (NRBHSS), established under the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement
(Section 15) as well as the Act Respecting Health Services and Social Services, covers the entire territory north of the 55th parallel.
Its mission is to adapt health and social services programs to the needs of the population and to the realities of the region, and to ensure
the efficient organization of resources made available to the Nunavik region.
The Regional Board is seeking to fill the following position:

DIRECTORATE AND SERVICE: Planning and Programming Directorate – SERVICE # 41005 Medical Affairs & Physical Health
DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Coordinator of Medical Affairs and Physical Health, the incumbent is responsible for functions
related to the coordination, implementation, and maintenance of quality medical and physical health services,
in terms of accessibility, continuity, and safety, in accordance with regional and provincial orientations.
The incumbent carries out activities required to identify and assess regional resources and needs. They design
and propose organizational plans to ensure adequate service planning.
They provide guidance regarding the implementation or improvement of services.
They coordinate the implementation of physical health service corridors across different levels (local, regional,
and university), as well as the development of service agreements, and ensure the continuity of services provided
to the population.
They also take on specific mandates and act as a resource person for teams within regional institutions and the
Regional Board, always with a view to improving service continuity.
Your responsibilities also include:
• Assumes regional responsibility for the following areas: pharmacy, dentistry, and any other clinical areas
involving the integration of new information technologies;
• Administers, plans, and coordinates all phases of projects with the relevant sector leads;
• Ensures deadlines are met while monitoring progress of work;
• Maintains communication and coordination with all stakeholders involved;
• Follows up and coordinates actions required for project advancement;
• Develops and update monitoring tools for the action plan (e.g., dashboards);
• Prepares progress reports and ensure accountability reporting to strategic authorities as required;
• Leads and ensures the proper functioning of various committees and working groups;
• Conducts analyses and follow up on specific cases at the request of the MSSS and other departments of the Regional Board;
• Collaborates with team members and other directorates;
• Performs any other related duties as requested by the immediate supervisor, including involvement in new initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as administrative sciences, humanities, or social sciences;
• Graduate-level training in project management or change management is considered an asset;
• Experience in the health and social services network, particularly in pharmacy or dentistry, is considered an asset;
• For beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement, a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered;
• Strong understanding of clinical and organizational issues;
• Excellent interpersonal skills supporting teamwork, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement;
• Initiative, autonomy, and sense of responsibility;
• Effective communication skills adapted to strategic issues and complex environments;
• Skills in facilitation and interdisciplinary collaboration;

• Transformational, flexible, and innovative leadership;
• Strong organizational, planning, and priority management skills;
• Ability to manage complex situations and navigate ambiguity;
• Proficiency in reading and writing in two of the three languages used in Nunavik (Inuktitut, English, or French);
• Good understanding of the sociocultural context of Nunavik and Inuit culture (an asset).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• Please note that interviews may be conducted during the weeks of June 1 and June 8, 2026;
• Work location: Remote position. Travel to the North may be required based on service activities.
Beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement will be given priority.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Status: Permanent full-time position;
• Work schedule: 35 hours/week;
• Shift: Day;
• Salary according to MSSS conditions and candidate qualifications ($31.03/hour to $54.98/hour).

isolation, and cost-of-living allowances. For those hired more than 50 km from Kuujjuaq, low-cost housing is
provided, along with reimbursement of moving and storage expenses. In addition, annual personal trips between
Kuujjuaq and the point of hire are included, along with other benefits
