The Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services (NRBHSS), established under the James Bay and Northern Québec
Agreement (Chapter 15) as well as the Act respecting health services and social services, covers the entire territory located
north of the 55th parallel. Its mission is to adapt health and social services programs to the needs of the population and to
the realities of the region, and to ensure the efficient organization of the resources made available to the Nunavik region.
The Regional Board wishes to fill the following temporary assignment for a one‑year period:

DESCRIPTION
Under the responsibility of the Assistant to the Director of Planning and Programming, the Planning, Programming and
Research Officer – Project Manager coordinates all activities related to a project action plan and provides support to those
responsible for the various components, including liaison services, environmental quality and cultural safety,
accommodation and logistics.
User experience and a population-based approach will also be at the heart of all processes in order to improve access,
continuity and fluidity of services offered to the community. As such, the selected individual will carry out their duties in
alignment with the mission, values and service delivery model of the organization, and in accordance with a culturally safe
approach for Nunavimmiut. The incumbent will work in compliance with the values associated with this project: respect,
equity, integrity, transparency, team spirit, communication and confidentiality.
Your responsibilities also include:
• Administering, planning and coordinating all stages of the project with project leads and in collaboration with relevant
stakeholders;
• Ensuring compliance with timelines while monitoring project progress;
• Ensuring communication and coordination with all relevant stakeholders, including: - Component leads, - Health centres, - MUHC (McGill University Health Centre) and other external partners;
• Coordinating the various components of the action plan simultaneously in collaboration with all concerned partners;
• Monitoring progress and coordinating the actions required to move the project forward;
• Collaborating in identifying partners’ needs through the achievement of objectives at the local and regional levels;
• Creating and updating project development monitoring tools (e.g., dashboards);
• Preparing project progress reports and carrying out accountability exercises for strategic bodies as required;
• Informing and advising project leads at the Ullivik service point;
• Managing complex situations;
• Performing any other related duties connected to the advancement of the work.
REQUIREMENTS
• For candidates who are beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement, a relevant combination of
experience and education may be considered;
• Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate university discipline such as administration, social sciences or a related field;
• A graduate-level qualification in project management or change management is considered an asset;
• Significant experience in Nunavik, knowledge of Inuit culture and northern realities, or experience in an intercultural
context;
• Proficiency in French and English. Knowledge of Inuktitut is an asset.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• Please note that interviews may take place during the week of April 6, 2026;
• Home base: Remote work assignment with occasional travel to Ullivik (Montréal) and to the North, based on operational
needs.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Temporary full-time assignment (35 hours per week) for a one-year period, with the possibility of extension;
• Day shift;
• Salary according to MSSS conditions and the candidate’s qualifications ($30.27/hour to $53.64/hour).
