The Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services (NRBHSS), incorporated under the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement (section 15) as well as the Act respecting health services and social services, covers the entire territory located north of the 55th parallel. Its mission is to adapt health and social services programs to the population’s needs and the region’s realities and to ensure efficient organization of the resources made available to the Nunavik region.

The regional board seeks to fill the following temporary assignment:

MANAGEMENT AND DEPARTMENT:

PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENT, # 40002, PUBLIC HEALTH OPER

DESCRIPTION

Under the authority of the Public Health Department, the incumbent contributes to the planning, coordination, and administrative monitoring of public health projects and programs. They provide professional support in the implementation of services, ensuring the effective management of administrative processes, documentation, monitoring of deadlines, and intersectoral collaboration.

Your responsibilities also include to:

• Participating in the planning and coordination of public health projects and programs;

• Ensuring the administrative follow-up of files, deadlines, and deliverables;

• Drafting administrative documents (reports, reviews, minutes, tracking tables);

• Collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure smooth communication and operations;

• Supporting research and needs assessment activities related to public health programs;

• Contribute to the development and updating of procedures, management tools, and administrative protocols;

• Participate in the preparation and organization of meetings, committees, and training sessions;

• Manage documents and update administrative data bases;

• Provide logistical and organizational support to management teams.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must hold a bachelor's degree in an appropriate academic discipline such as administrative sciences, humanities, or social sciences;

• For candidates who are beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement, a combination of relevant experience and training may be considered;

• Proven ability to collaborate with multiple partners in an intercultural context;

• Experience in team management and interdisciplinary environments;

• Excellent initiative and autonomy in performing tasks;

• Strong aptitude for adaptation, prioritization, organization, and teamwork;

• Work experience in Nunavik is an asset;

• Oral and written communication skills in at least two of the three languages used in Nunavik (Inuktitut, English, French);

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Please note that interviews may take place during the week of November 3rd, 2025;

Home base: Temporary assignment based in the North (Kuujjuaq). Relocation to the North is preferred, however, teleworking from the South is possible depending on operational needs. Please note that travel to the North may be required depending on the department's activities.

Candidates who are beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement shall receive priority.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Temporary full-time assignment (35 hours/week) for a period of 9 months with the possibility of extension;

• Day shift;

• Salary according to the conditions of the MSSS and the qualifications of the candidate ($30.27/h to $53.64/h).
