The Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services (NRBHSS), established under the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement
(Section 15) and the Act Respecting Health Services and Social Services, covers the entire territory located north of the 55th parallel. Its mission is to adapt health and social services programs to the needs of the population and to the realities of the region, and to ensure the efficient organization of resources made available to the Nunavik region.
The Regional Board is seeking to fill the following full-time temporary assignment:

DESCRIPTION
Would you like to contribute to a meaningful project in a dynamic development context?
The Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services is seeking an individual capable of developing, structuring, and continuously improving services in close collaboration with the territory’s communities and partners.
The incumbent will be required to develop an understanding of needs related to intellectual disability and autism spectrum disorder (ID-ASD) and physical rehabilitation, to mobilize the relevant partners, and to co-develop solutions tailored to the realities of Nunavik.
Your responsibilities include:
• Analyzing territorial needs and identifying priorities;
• Coordinating, facilitating, and ensuring the effective functioning of committees, and mobilizing various partners;
• Contributing to the implementation and ongoing development of services;
• Participating in the development of action plans and service pathways;
• Ensuring coordination among various stakeholders (local, regional, MSSS);
• Managing required communications, including the preparation of documentation (press releases, agendas, minutes,
documents, action plans, decision-making tools) to inform various bodies and improve coordination of actions;
• Collaborating in the development of tools necessary for the implementation of orientations, preparing progress reports,
and participating in the systematic analysis of results;
• Monitoring allocated budgets and ensuring accountability to the appropriate authorities.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate university discipline such as administration, human sciences, or social sciences;
• For candidates benefiting from the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement, a relevant combination of education and experience may be considered;
• Experience in service development, project management, or intersectoral collaboration (major asset);
• Ability to acquire new knowledge and develop an understanding of issues related to ID-ASD and physical rehabilitation;
• Comfort working in evolving and changing contexts;
• Strong analytical and organizational skills;
• Demonstrated initiative and autonomy;
• Ability to mobilize and collaborate with various partners;
• Excellent oral and written proficiency in two of the three languages used in the region (Inuktitut, English, French).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• Please note that interviews may be conducted during the week of May 4, 2026;
• Work location: Establishment in the North is prioritized; however, remote work from the South may be possible depending on operational needs. Please note that travel to the North may be required depending on service activities.
Candidates benefiting from the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement will be given priority.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Full-time temporary position (35 hours per week) for a one-year term, with the possibility of extension;
• Remote work assignment;
• Day shift;
• Salary according to MSSS conditions and the selected candidate’s qualifications ($31.03/hour to $54.98/hour).
Northern benefits: Employees who settle in Nunavik may be eligible for various benefits, including retention, isolation, and cost-of-living premiums. For those hired more than 50 km from Kuujjuaq, low-cost housing is provided, along with reimbursement of moving and storage expenses. Annual personal travel from Kuujjuaq to the point of hire is also included, along with additional benefits.
