The Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services (NRBHSS), established under the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement (Chapter 15) and the Act respecting health services and social services, covers the entire territory located north of the 55th parallel. Its mission is to adapt health and social services programs to the needs of the population and the realities of the region, and to ensure the effective organization of resources made available to the Nunavik region.
The Regional Board is seeking to fill the following part-time assignment for an indeterminate period :

DEPARTMENT AND SERVICE: DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH, #40006 – PREVENTION & HEALTH PROMOTION (CHILD)
DESCRIPTION
Under the authority of the Director of Public Health and the supervision of the Coordinator of the Prevention and Health Promotion Team, the selected candidate will collaborate in supporting and developing sexual health initiatives.
The successful candidate will work closely with various partners, including other NRBHSS departments, health centres, municipalities, and regional organizations, to support these initiatives.
Key responsibilities also include:
• Joining the Sexual Health and Sexual Abuse Prevention Team to provide expertise and support in the development of the following initiatives:
o The Sexual Education Curriculum in schools;
o The abuse prevention program “Speak Up Be Safe”;
o The “Discovering My Body” workshops.
• Supporting the implementation of initiatives included in the Sexual Health Team’s action plan.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate university discipline, such as administration, human sciences, or social sciences;
• For beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement, an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience may be considered;
• Experience in public health, sexual health, or a related field;
• Experience working with Nunavimmiut;
• Proficiency in both French and English;
• Knowledge of Inuktitut is considered an asset;
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• Please note that interviews may take place during the week of May 4, 2026;
• Work location: Remote work, with travel to Nunavik as required.
Beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement will be given priority.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Part-time assignment for an indeterminate period;
• Day shift;
• Salary in accordance with MSSS conditions and the candidate’s qualifications ($31.03/hour to $54.98/hour).
