Job Title : Receptionist
Reports to: The Office Manager in the Corporate Secretary Department
Location: Kuujjuaq
Status of Employment: Permanent, Full-time

SALARY AND BENEFITS
Salary: Between $55,000 and $65,000 annually
Benefits: All marginal benefits available to Makivvik employees annually as outlined in the Makivvik Human Resources Policy Manual such as:
Simplified Pension Plan

Vacation: starting at 20 days
Gas allowance: To a max. of $3,500
Sick days: 15 days
Travel Benefit: To a max. of $25,000
Isolation premium: To a max. of $20,800
Housing allowance: To a max. of $12,000
Cargo allowance: To a max. of $6,500
RESPONSIBILITIES
▪ Operate telephone system in the Kuujjuaq 980 Office;
▪ Receive and manage visitors, direct them to the right services and answer telephone calls;
▪ Prepare messages and forward them to the appropriate person;
▪ Maintain staff daily attendance records for the emergency procedures;
▪ Type correspondence on computer when required;
▪ Maintain the office supply room and prepare an order when needed;
▪ In collaboration of the Janitor – Office Manager :
o Help prepare coffee and tea for various meetings;
o Keep the fridges stocked with the necessities and advise when an order needs to be placed to the office manager;
▪ Perform other related duties within the scope of the position or as requested by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
▪ High School diploma;
▪ Effective communication in Inuktitut and English, French is an asset.
▪ One (1) year of work related experience;
▪ Effective computer skills : Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.);
▪ Demonstrate experience in multitasking, being organized and punctual;
▪ Ability to work independently and a good team player;
▪ Energetic, determined, and proactive;
▪ Friendly, efficient and customer service oriented.
