Specific functions
Receive and intervene on clients struggling with various social problems
Can intervene in crisis situation
Works in collaboration with all others professional in the communities
Intervene according to case, using an individual, family or community approach
Ensures follow ups of clients
Promotes the multidisciplinary approach with different CLSC programs: mental health, suicide prevention and
addiction
Performs any other related duties at the request of his immediate superior
Specific Requirements
Must hold a secondary V diploma or equivalent;
Ability to speak in Inuktitut and English (spoken and written);
Experience in psychosocial intervention or related experience;
Experience in organizing activities in the field of health and social services, recreation or community
organizations;
Knowledge of psychosocial issues would be an asset;
Perceived as a positive role model by the population;
Show a positive attitude, a sense of responsibility and organization;
Able to work autonomously as well as with others;
Knowing the traditions, beliefs and Inuit customs;
Able to work with Word software and Outlook
Available to travel in the communities of the Ungava coast
