The normal work schedule is on a rotation of 4 weeks paid i.e., 2 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 2 weeks paid to rest.

FUTURE CHALLENGES

Reporting to the Mining Engineer in Production, the Surveying Technician is responsible for:

• All surveying work in the field (projects, pits, and underground mines).

• Setting out holes, boundaries, and work zones.

• Planning, organizing, and ensuring the follow-up of all field surveying projects.

• Producing layouts of requested projects.

• Monitoring daily, weekly, and monthly mining operations.

• Conducting data checks and validations.

• Performing various tasks, including drone piloting.

• Inputting daily data into Excel, drafting activity reports, and generating various reports and graphs.

• Understanding and knowing mining operations to ensure that production has all the necessary tools to progress.

• Performing any other related tasks as required.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in surveying or in a mining technique.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field.

• Good knowledge of Deswik software (asset) and the Microsoft Office suite; Possess a good knowledge of Trimble and Leica surveying equipment.

• Possess a good knowledge of surveying methods in both open-pit and underground mines.

• Understand, know, and be familiar with geology and mining operations.

• Proficient in communication (report writing, presentations, etc.).

• Possess a valid driver's license and the general permit for handling explosives is essential.

• Possess the FMTM 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7 certifications (asset).

• Due to frequent interactions with French-speaking team members, bilingualism (French/English) is an asset that facilitates and enhances our internal communications.
