LOCATION: Nunavik (assignment based on operations – Deception Bay  

                                                      region / Raglan Mine sector and other FCNQ transport sites)

Who we are:

The Fédération des coopératives du Nouveau-Québec (FCNQ) brings together Inuit cooperatives and has been supporting community development across Nunavik since 1967.

Our transportation teams carry out essential logistics operations in different regions of Nunavik, including the transport of goods, fuel, and equipment between ports and mining sites.

Depending on operational needs, employees may be assigned to different work locations across the region.

Role Overview:

Reporting to the Foreman, the Truck Driver / Operator is responsible for transporting materials and 

supporting transportation operations in a northern environment. The role may also include yard work, operating different types of equipment depending on operations, and assisting with basic maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate trucks safely and follow safety procedures

• Transport goods and equipment as required

• Perform basic inspections and complete required reports

• Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and work areas

• Support yard operations and assist with maintenance when needed

• Operate, depending on operations, other equipment (asset)

Requirements and Skills:

• Valid Class 1 driver’s license (or equivalent recognized license)

• Experience in truck driving or similar work (asset)

• Ability to work in a northern/remote environment

• Reliable, independent, and able to work in a team

• Functional English or French (Inuktitut is an asset)

Working Conditions:

• Fly-in/fly-out rotation (schedule varies depending on operations)

• Day and night shifts

• Work in a northern environment within a unionized setting
