Privacy Notice
This Policy deals with the protection of personal information.
- Agreement
- The Privacy Policy must be read in conjunction with the other documents that make up the Agreement between you and the Site Owner, the Kativik Regional Government: the General Conditions of Use and the Complaints and Claims Policy.
- Dedicated Email for Privacy Policy Requests
- All requests regarding privacy and personal information should be sent by email to igordon@krg.ca.
- Definition of “Personal Information”
- The term “personal information” generally refers to any information that relates to a natural person and that allows that person to be identified. For the purposes of your relationship with and your use of the Site, this means your first and last names, date of birth, and postal and email addresses, as well as any other information that you choose to share with us when using yesnunavik.com.
- Collection and Management of Personal Information
- Any personal information concerning a yesnunavik.com user is collected on a voluntary basis for one of the following reasons:
- To create a personalized account to view and apply for job or internship opportunities;
- To apply for job or internship offers;
- To improve YES NUNAVIK’s services;
- To respond to user comments and suggestions.
- A user who consents to the disclosure of his or her personal information to the Site Owner represents and warrants that such information is strictly accurate.
- Personal information voluntarily disclosed by users is stored by KRG in an electronic file entitled “[user name] personal information”.
- Personal information collected by KRG is stored at the following address: 860 Kaivivik Circle, Kuujjuaq (Quebec) J0M 1C0.
- The Access to Information Officer, Ms. Ina Gordon (igordon@krg.ca), as well as KRG employees responsible for the management of YES NUNAVIK and the Human Resources Department, have access to this personal information.
- The electronic file entitled “[user name] personal information” will be automatically deleted once the purposes for which the personal information was collected or used have been fulfilled.
- Users may at any time submit a written request to the Site Owner to access, rectify or remove their personal information at the following address: igordon@krg.ca.
- To be processed, your request must include at least the following information:
- Your first and last name;
- Your email address;
- Your phone number;
- A justification proving that you have a personal interest in the personal information covered by your request;
- The reason for the request: access, rectification or removal of personal information;
- Any other relevant facts or documents.
- The Site Owner undertakes to process any request relating to personal information within 20 days.
- At the user’s request, the Site Owner undertakes to provide him/her with an attestation of any rectification or withdrawal of personal information.
- The KRG maintains an inventory of its personal information files containing the following information:
- the name of each file, the categories of information it contains, the purposes for which the information is retained, and how each file is managed;
- the source of the information contained in each file;
- the categories of persons concerned by the information contained in each file;
- the categories of persons who, in the performance of their duties, have access to each file;
- the security measures taken to ensure the protection of personal information.
- Any personal information concerning a yesnunavik.com user is collected on a voluntary basis for one of the following reasons:
- Sharing Your Personal Information
- When users disclose personal information to the Site Owner to be matched to employment or internship opportunities, such users agree that KRG may share such information with the companies and organizations concerned.
- The Site Owner agrees not to share any personal information with anyone except in the following two cases:
- For employment or internship referrals;
- If KRG is required by law to disclose such personal information.
- The Site Owner keeps a record of all disclosures of personal information, including:
- The nature or type of information disclosed;
- The person, firm or organization receiving the information;
- The purpose for which the information is disclosed;
- The reason justifying why the information is disclosed.
- Changes to the Policy
- You agree that the Site Owner may periodically adapt and modify the terms and conditions of this Policy. You should therefore consult the Policy regularly to be informed of the modifications and adaptations made. If you continue to use the Site after any adaptations or modifications to the terms and conditions of the Agreement, including this Privacy Policy, you are acknowledging that you have accepted these changes.
- If you do not agree to the adaptations and modifications to the terms and conditions of the Agreement including this Privacy Policy, you must discontinue using the Site.
